1st Corinthians 16
1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given orders to
the churches of Galatia, even so do I you.
2 On the first day of the week, let each of you (who desires) put
aside (your gift) to store up, as God has prospered him so that there
will be no collections when I come.
3 And when I come, whoever you approve, them, will I send along with your
letters to bring your gift to Jerusalem.
4 And if you see it fitting that I also go, they shall go (to Jerusalem)
with me.
5 But I will come to you when I pass through Macedonia: for I do pass
through Macedonia.
6 And possibly I will stay and spend the winter with you so that you
accompany me on my journey wherever I go.
7 For I will not see you now (when I pass) by the way; but (later)
I trust to remain a while with you if the Lord permits.
8 But I will remain at Ephesus until Pentecost.
9 For a great and effectual door is opened to me (to preach the gospel),
but there are many adversaries.
10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he may abide with you without fear: for he
works the work of the Lord, (delivering the same word of Christ and Him
crucified) as I also do.
11 Let no man, therefore, despise him (for his youth): but conduct
him forth in peace (as you would do for me), so that he may come to
me: for I will look for him along the brothers.
12 As concerning our brother Apollos, I greatly (encouraged and)
desired him to come to you with the brothers: but it was not his will at all
to come at this (present) time; but he will come when he has a more
suitable time.
13 Watch (being vigilant to) stand fast in the faith (of the Lord
Jesus), like (full-grown) men, be strengthened (by His love).
14 Let all things you do be done with (His) love (which prefers
another's life over your own).
15 I encourage you, brothers; {you know the house of Stephanas, that it is
the first fruits of Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the
ministry of the saints,}
16 That you (would also) submit yourselves to the same, and to (minister
to) everyone that helps with us, and labors (along with us in the
work of the Lord).
17 I am glad at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for
anything which was lacking on your part they have supplied.
18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore you ought to
acknowledge them that do such.
19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in
the Lord, with the church that is in their house.
20 All the brothers greet you. Greet each other also with a holy kiss.
21 The salutation of me Paul with my own hand.
22 If any man does not love the Lord Jesus Christ, he is (accursed being
devoted to destruction) Anathema Maranatha (Even so come quickly Lord
Jesus, come!).
23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you (to strengthen you to
endure).
24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
