Romans 10

Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might (come to the knowledge of the truth and) be saved (from perishing in death).

For I (can personally) bear witness of them (which are Israel according to the flesh) that they have a zeal for God, but not according to (true) knowledge.

For they being ignorant of God's righteousness (which is the righteousness that is of faith) and going about to establish their own righteousness (by the works of the law), have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God (to serve them with His indestructible life, which only He is able to do).

For Christ (the word made flesh) is the fulfillment of (the righteousness of which) the law (was always speaking) for (His) righteousness to (be bestowed upon) everyone who believes (to the Jew first and also to the Gentile).

For Moses describes the righteousness which is of the law (as God instructed him), That the man who (looks to the Lord, their God with all their heart and all their soul) has obeyed the Lord's statutes and judgments (and) shall live (walking in His ways) by (Him serving) them (with His blessing and life and though this was not hidden from them, they sought it by works).

But the righteousness which is of faith speaks in this way, Do not say in your heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? {that is, to bring Christ down from above (no man has ascended up into heaven but He that came down was the Lord from heaven):}

Or, Who shall descend into the deep? {that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead (when there is no need. He is already risen from the grave in a body free from death)}.

But what does it say? The word is near you, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith (which is Christ Himself), which we preach;

Because if you shall confess with your mouth (that) the Lord Jesus (is the Christ, the word of God which lives and abides forever made flesh) and shall believe in your heart that (the power of) God (Himself) has raised Him from the dead (immortal), you shall be saved (from perishing in death unto His endless life, even immortality in your flesh on the last day).

For with the heart man believes unto (His gift of) righteousness; and (out of the abundance of the heart) with the mouth (he speaks and) confession is made to salvation.

For the scripture says, Whoever (looks to Him and) believes upon Him (to serve them with His blessing and life) shall not be (disappointed or) ashamed.

For there is no distinction between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord who is over all, is rich (in His mercy and grace) toward all that call on Him.

For whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (has the Spirit of the Son, which cries Abba, Father and) shall be saved.

How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace (and unity of one new man in Christ Jesus), and bring glad tidings (that death has been sent away and) of good things (having brought His life and immortality to light)!

But they have not all obeyed (from the heart) the gospel (and called upon the name of the Lord). For Isaiah said, Lord, who has believed our report?

So then (the) faith (revealed in Jesus Christ) comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ (the wisdom and power of God unto salvation to all who believe).

But I say, Have they not heard (the gospel)? Yes, truly, the sound went into all the earth, and the words to the ends of the world (so that all men are without excuse).

But I say, Did not Israel know? First, Moses said, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are not your people, and by a foolish nation (that is not even) a nation I will anger you.

But Isaiah is very bold, and said, I was found of them that did not seek Me; I was made manifest to them that did not inquire after Me.

But to Israel God said, All day long I have stretched forth My hands to a disobedient and contradictory people (who have opposed me, walking after the imagination of their own hearts).
