Hebrews 1
1 God, who in various portions and in a multitude of ways spoke (through the spirit of Christ) in former times (when death reigned over all) to the fathers through the prophets,
5 For to which of the angels has He said at any
time, “You are My Son, this day have I begotten you (declaring you to be
My Son with power in the resurrection from the dead immortal)? And again
(with the same glory we had before the world began), I will be to Him
a Father, and he will be to me a Son?
6 And again, when He brings in the first begotten (of
many brethren) into the world, He said, and let all the angels of God be
in subjection to Him.
7 And about the angels He said, Who makes His angels
like the wind and (has created them) His servants (like) a
flame of fire.
8 However, to the Son He said, “Your throne, O God,
is forever and ever (without end): the testimony of Your life (and
bodily immortality) is (forever) the mark of Your kingdom.
9 You have loved the life that God can serve you
with and hated (the) lawlessness (of serving yourself);
therefore God, even Your God (and Father) has anointed You with the
oil (of the Spirit) of gladness above all your equals.
10 And, You Lord, in the beginning have laid the
foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands:
11 They will (both) perish; but you (will)
remain; they will all grow old like a garment does;
12 And as an old piece of clothing you will fold them up, and they will be changed (corruptible to incorruptible) but You are the same and Your years will not (ever) fail.
13 But to which of the angels said He at any time, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool?
14 (Not one! But) are they not all
ministering spirits, sent (for the specific purpose) to serve to
those who will inherit the life (and immortality) of God?
